Project:

ThinkGive needs a campaign to pave the path for long-term growth and increase customers in the Northeast.

Brand:

ThinkGive Curriculum is an in-class or virtual experience for 4-8th graders to help teachers foster a culture of kindness and inclusion in classrooms. The curriculum uses peer-to-peer education, self-awareness, and acts of kindness to help students discover that they can be agents of positive change in their schools and communities.

Key Insights:

  • ThinkGive is a logical and rich evolution of learning, ThinkGive emphasizes how to connect with the world and interact with that world in ways students may not have thought of before using the tools of kindness, gratitude, integrity, and empathy.

  • ThinkGive is the missing Social-emotional learning component of the current education system and a perfect turnkey curriculum for teachers to implement invaluable life skills,  the mindfulness of kindness.

Subject Line: Change your Classroom, Change the World

    Dear X,

ā€œWhat do people think of me?ā€

    ā€œWhere do I belong?ā€

Regardless of neighborhood, socioeconomic status, hobbies, or faith system, these are the gnawing questions at the forefront of childrenā€™s minds; they donā€™t simply disappear with time, but instead, go on to tangibly influence the nature of their development in classrooms. How can we ensure that our school communities are places where all children safely grow into kind, empathetic individuals with a strong sense of self-esteem? ThinkGive is the missing piece in education today that allows for genuine social and emotional learning in the everyday classroom.

ThinkGive is an online social-emotional learning program for grades four to eight. The curriculum empowers children to discover and develop their kindness and build a strong sense of self. It helps create a safe space for children to make meaningful connections with classmates using social, emotional tools like empathy. These tools are becoming increasingly critical today, as our students face social isolation and increased anxiety. ThinkGive offers a way to implement these crucial skills by fostering caring classrooms. It creates a safe space to hold conversations around social justice, inclusion, and identity while navigating a changing school environment. Students in ThinkGive are better able to realize the impact their words and actions can have on others and themselves. They become empowered to know that they can be agents of positive change in their schools and communities.

For all the teachers out there who are worried about how they could fit anything else on their plate? Donā€™t worry. ThinkGive does not require a teacher to learn anything new to use the program and is endlessly customizable. Among the wide range of topics, there are lessons on gratitude, empathy, self-esteem, and social justice. A logical and rich evolution of materials, ThinkGive begins with 4th grade and starts with a theme, and then moves into the next grade with another theme that is complementary but not the same. The journey begins with traditional kindness and gratitude and then supports children to think about some of the more challenging topics like self-identity and empathy to others. By 8th grade, they are working on social justice themes. Through a combination of discussion, books, videos, and collaborative activities, students develop ideas on the types of actions that demonstrate kindness to themselves and others in many different contexts. We wanted to share a reflection from a current Think Give Instructor at Dedham Country Day School:

ThinkGive offered our students a break from the challenges of distance and disconnection, provided opportunities for self-discovery, and encouraged them to recognize and act on ways in which they can make a difference in their daily lives and the lives of others.ā€ -Marie, TG instructor

If Marie had the chance to talk to you about ThinkGive, she would tell you:

ā€œIt was a curriculum I started thinking was going to be all about kindness, but it ended up being more about connection. Kids feeling more connected to themselves gives them a feeling of being more connected to one another.ā€
